Within the space of clinical supervision, I facilitate a learning process and create a “safe space” operating from a relational model perspective. That will include the understanding and application of inclusion, empowerment, purpose, ethical behaviors and process orientation. As we maintain healthy boundaries in supervision, we will explore what can play out in the supervision relationship and how it relates to the clients we serve. I encourage my supervisees to ask difficult questions and conceptualize various empirically sound theoretical frameworks and clinical modalities. I will also encourage introspection of “self” and exploration of your “whys” and utilize this experience/process in the work with clients. I believe that group supervision cultivates a sense of collective community, a wider range of perspectives, while individual supervision allows for more accountability and personal growth therefore, I prefer to provide a combination of group/individual supervision in order for the supervisees to glean from best of both worlds.
